| K-12 Student
Tours: Tours of the NEO Beam facility are provided
for middle and high schools students and their teachers.
Students and teachers from several schools have toured the
facility and conducted irradiation experiments. Teacher
Workshops: Radiation workshops are conducted for middle
and high school science and mathematics teachers. A major
objective of the workshops is to provide factual information about
radiation and nuclear technology. Educators from more than
35 educational institutions have attended workshops conducted at
the NEO Beam facility. Science
News Updates: Current science articles are distributed to
middle and high school teachers who are subscribers to the PEBT
Listserv. |

College & University
KSU's PEBT collaborates with
many colleges and universities including Central State University,
Lakeland Community College, Universidad de Sonora, University of
Toledo, and Wright State University in areas related to curricula,
research, and internships.
An articulation in Nuclear
Engineering Technology 2+2 degree program has been established
between KSU's PEBT and Lakeland Community College.

| Government
Representatives from several
government organizations such as USDA, DOE, Naval Research
Laboratory, NIST, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, NASA Glenn
Research Center, and United States Postal Service have interacted
and collaborated with PEBT Associates on various research
projects.

| Companies
A number of companies
have collaborated with KSU's PEBT by offering student
internships/coops, donating equipment, and contracting research
services. Arrow-Tech,
FirstEnergy, Keithley Instruments, Mercury Plastics, NEO Beam, and
RMI Environmental Services have collaborated with KSU's
PEBT.

| Professional Societies
KSU PEBT Associates are active
in many professional societies including ANS, ASQ, ASTM, CIRMS,
HPS, IEEE, NOCHPS, and SME. The NEO Beam facility has
been the host site to several professional society meetings.
