Kent
State University's, KSU, Program on Electron Beam Technology (PEBT)
is a new program that the university has
established in order to fulfill the educational, research, and
outreach components of its mission. Through the PEBT, Kent
State University prepares a qualified workforce, supports academic
(basic and applied) and industrial research and development (R&D),
and makes available this technology to both existing and potential
users in the field of radiation processing. In this manner,
KSU contributes directly and meaningfully to the economic
development of Ohio.
From
this page, you can access information about different aspects of the
PEBT. You can navigate through the Photo Galleries, which include
pictures of the NEO Beam facility, class rooms and laboratories,
educational experiments, and faculty and staff. Also available is
the Multimedia gallery. In the latter, the visitor can see actual
footage of the route followed by a cart to reach the beam room, as
well as of the capstan unit used to irradiate tubing and/or cable.
Additionally, the visitor can find technical specification of the
facility, related links, Workforce Development, collaborative overview,
and outreach.
Finally, a map showing the location and directions to NEO Beam is
also available.
